ERSHIGS is the world leader in the design and manufacture of corrosion
resistant FRP applications. In business since 1921, and as a manufacturer of FRP
products since 1960, Ershigs has pioneered
many of the key innovations in the use of FRP in corrosion resistant applications over the
years. Ershigs offers a full range of products, including storage and process
vessels, duct systems, valves,
process and effluent piping, large field manufactured vessels, washer and ventilation
hoods, stacks and chimney liners, scrubbers, and spray header piping and assemblies.
In addition, Ershigs can rely on the industry's largest and most broadly qualified staff
of professional engineers to work with customers on design, testing, inspection and
refurbishment of FRP products and systems.
Ershigs has mobile manufacturing units capable of producing a wide array of large diameter
vessels at the customer's site. Skilled technicians are available to install FRP products
such as pipelines, crossovers, vats, hoods, scrubbers and absorption towers, and stacks
and stack liners as well as related industrial equipment.
Both Ershigs Construction (E-CON) and Ershigs Biloxi operations have well trained field
crews with industry's best equipped mobile units to respond to any FRP maintenance
problem. Services include plant shutdown maintenance and refurbishment, relining tanks and
vats, field erected tanks and general FRP repairs. These operations are uniquely qualified
for projects such as in situ replacement of steel towers with FRP towers and protecting
surfaces in highly abrasive environments with elastomeric coatings.
Ershigs Sheet Metal operation in Bellingham, Washington fabricates a wide variety of sheet
metal products for industrial and commercial use. Light structural steel fabrication is
also available from this plant. Sheet metal field service work is limited to the Pacific
Northwest.
